Wrinkle Treatments

How do I soften wrinkles?

Wrinkles can appear as fine lines or deep creases, occurring on parts of the body most exposed to the sun, face, neck, hands and forearms. Wrinkles can be heredity, caused through the ageing process, from environmental factors such as smoking or repeated facial expressions and as the skin ages it becomes fragile, losing collagen and elastin; the supportive structures of the skin.

The skin around our eyes is thinner, more fragile and exposed to the sun, quickly showing signs of ageing and fatigue. This delicate area needs the hypo-lipid barrier maintained to slow the ageing process down.

Skin care products that will target lines and wrinkles to restore the skins elasticity, include encapsulated retinol, to target fine lines and puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles, vitamins and anti-oxidants to nourish and protect.

Medical Grade Skin Care

Retinols – strengthen the skin and enhance cellular turnover, improving the skins texture and tone, to minimise the appearance of fine lines, textural issues and pore size.

Antioxidants – L-Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is the most potent anti-oxidant, protecting the skin from free radical damage, essential for collagen synthesis, brightening the skin and reducing wrinkle size.

MATRIXYL® Synthe’6® contains a blend of anti-ageing peptides with light reflecting, soft focus ingredients, to lighten the appearance of dark, tired, puffy eyes. Derived from a peptide naturally found in collagen and laminins, MATRIXYL® Synthe’6® strengthens skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Moisturisers – loaded with anti-oxidants peptides and nourishing vitamins, strengthen the skin locking in moisture, reducing trans epidermal water loss, with anti-oxidants to protect the skin, from free radicals caused by UV sun exposure, and pollution to improve, firm and strengthen the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Sunscreen – Protects your skin from further damage from UVA, UVB, HEV, IR to prevent wrinkles appearing or slowing them down. A physical barrier such as zinc oxide and a chemical barrier, and anti-oxidants will shield your skin from the damaging UV rays. During the winter months, you are exposed to long UVA rays through the clouds, during the summer UVB rays, window exposure whilst driving or at work, will allow long periods of exposing your skin to harmful rays. If you work at a computer or use a mobile phone, your exposed to UV rays and the damage is continually occurring.

Peels – Professional peels remove cellular debris from the outer layers of the skin, boosting the ingredients you apply post peel, deeper into the skin, so a multilayer process, can be customised according to your skin profile and concerns. Pairing home care products with professional treatments will work synergistically, to improve the health of your skin. The key to beautiful skin is a customised home care regime paired with potent professional treatments, that result in radiant skin that improves in tone and texture, reducing visible signs of ageing, such as lines and wrinkles.

Muscle relaxing injections – will remove muscular contraction and therefore stop the repeated creasing action occurring on the skins surface, leaving the appearance of smooth skin.
