CHALLENGE

Mondi’s executive team had in mind an ambitious project: a collection of seven bespoke murals for the walls of their paper mill in Steti, Czech Republic. They wanted to bring the whole workforce closer to their vision and strategy, to allow them to look ahead to the future as one. And, when they discovered Scriberia’s scribing team at a live event, they knew they’d found the right people for the job.

SOLUTION

First, senior illustration producer Adam and senior visualiser Lauren visited Steti to get to know the place, the people and the paper mill. They workshopped some ideas with the Mondi team, before heading back to the studio in London to work on the final designs.

Like any job, this wasn’t without its challenges. Notably, the mural is bilingual - in English and Czech - and our Czech needed careful checking! We had a wealth of technical and complex content to include, brand guidelines to adhere to, and practical considerations - like the features of the architecture, and the manufacture and delivery our paints - to take into account.

But soon, with seven designs finalised, we were ready to return to the Czech Republic to start painting.
